𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝟒𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠

The 42nd Board Meeting of the Tarayana Foundation was held today at the Tarayana Centre, chaired by our Founding President, Her Majesty Gyalyum Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck. Her Royal Highness Princess Sonam Dechan Wangchuck graced the meeting alongside Board and Executive Committee Members.

The day started with a special moment of celebration in honour of our executive committee members: Dasho Tshewang Tandin, former President of Royal Thimphu College, on receiving Kabney and Patang and Mr.Tashi Penjor, Director of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, on receiving the Gold Medal from His Majesty The King on the 117th National Day.

Her Majesty thanked them for their dedicated service to the King, Country and the People and their service to Tarayana. Her Majesty congratulated both on this achievement and expressed the pride of the entire Tarayana family in their achievements.

The board meeting reviewed the progress of Tarayana Foundation and it’s sister concerns and subsidiaries, including Tarayana Rural Crafts, Folk Heritage Museum, and Tarayana Micro Finance for Rural Development (TMF). The annual work plan and budget for Tarayana was also approved at the meeting, and valuable guidance was provided on enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of all the entities.

At the meeting, the newest member of the Tarayana Executive Committee, Mr. Gyamtsho Tshering, was also introduced.
