The initiation of the Tarayana Club at Nganglam Central School in Pema Gatshel was a momentous occasion, graced by the esteemed presence of the Honโble Founding President, Her Majesty Queen Mother Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck, and His Eminence Vairochana Rinpoche Ngawang Jigme Jigten Wangchuck, yesterday morning.
Ms Cheten Wangmo, the Club Coordinator, presented the clubโs plan of activities. She emphasized the pivotal role of the 23 club members, who, on behalf of the club, pledged to work hard to fulfil the clubโs mission and the Tarayana Foundationโs vision for the School Clubs.
While addressing the gathering, Her Majesty Queen Mother Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck underscored the importance of compassion and service. Her Majesty urged the students to extend their care to those in need within their school and the wider community.
Her Majesty also urged the students to study well, be mindful of their actions, and be responsible and productive citizens, dedicating themselves to serving our beloved King and the country.
Her Majesty added the 23 members of the new club to the close to 6000 “ambassadors of compassion” in the country.
The Foundation has established 130 clubs nationwide at all levels of education, from primary to tertiary institutions. This is the 131st club in the country.
Students and the school faculty members were fortunate to receive blessings from HE Vairochana Rinpoche.
