Transformative Training on Gender Empowerment and Financial Inclusion: Personal Advancement and Career Enhancement (PACE) Module
Under the “Empowering Rural Communities Through Targeted Skills Training Initiatives” project, supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, India, the Foundation is holding a transformative training session focused on gender empowerment and financial inclusion at its targeted sites. The training, which covered both professional and personal skill development, took place from August 26th to 29th in Lingmukha and Chubu Gewogs, Punakha.
In Lingmukha, 63 women from the villages of Napchey, Omtekha, and Gumkarmo participated in the training. Meanwhile, in Chubu, 34 individuals from Bali village attended, including 25 women and nine men.
The participants were equipped with essential skills such as communication, problem-solving and decision-making, time and stress management, financial literacy, and components of Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH). They also engaged in discussions on the critical issue of ending violence against children (Ending Violence Against Children – EVAC).
